Dr. Alan Cockerill has been a NAATI accredited professional translator from Russian to English since 1992, and is NAATI certified under the new certification system. He is highly qualified, with an honours degree in Russian language and literature from the University of Melbourne, a Masters degree in Russian translatorship from the University of Queensland, and a Ph.D. (for his study of the eminent Soviet educator Vasily Sukhomlinsky). Alan has worked as a translator for the Queensland Bureau of Ethnic Affairs and the Commonwealth Translation and Interpreting Service. He has extensive experience translating immigration documents, including birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce certificates, driver licences, police clearances and educational qualifications. He has also translated Vasily Sukhomlinsky’s educational classic My heart I give to children.
